Luna Lake this Saturday and Fwd: Finally - Prospect Park Playground Mulch Arriving

Hello Neighbors, 

Below is information on the Luna Lake HoeDown this Saturday and the Mulching of the Playground a week from Saturday. 

It is also our Sunday to pick up Trash at the Park on Sunday 6pm (it takes about 45 minutes). 

I hope many of you are saving up your neighborly activities for this Saturday from 9am till 5pm. A few of us have worked really hard to get things in order with the Luna Lake project so I hope most of you can come and help out. If you have an hour to spare we can use it. Really, we need people to show up. 

WE NEED A BOBCAT OR SMALL FRONT-LOADER FOR THE NEXT TWO SATURDAYS. 

Work Time from 9am till 3pm --- We have to move a lot of compost. 
Bring -- Friends, Family, Co-workers 
Wheelbarrows, Shovels, Pitch-Forks, Dirt Rakes 
Water, Snacks, Gloves 
I think we are going to have folks entertaining kids while the adults work. 

Fun Time from 3pm till 5pm 
Bring -- Your talents to share with the neighbors 
If you play an acoustic instrument or are in a band or know a band please show up and entertain 
Games to challenge 
Food, Soda, Water 
Charcoal, Plates, Napkins 


The Following is from our Honorable Council Man Pete Murdock. It took a lot of effort to get both the city and the school district together to pay for the Mulch for the Playground at Prospect Park. We need a lot of help for this since there is a lot more to move. If you have children that use the park make sure you are there to help.

This project turned into much more than what was originally contemplated - but finally we are ready to go. 

The City and School District are going to share the cost of the mulch/fall protection for the playground. (estimated 400 Cubic Yards in all) 


Now it's our turn... 

I've scheduled two of the three loads of material to be delivered on Friday, June 19th ( The third will be delivered at a later date when we see how much more we need) 

We need folks for Friday late PM and Evening and Saturday until done to spread the mulch 

Rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows, tarps are all needed. 

Criag Shankwiler has volunteered he and his "Bobcat" to help move stuff around. 

If you know of another "Bobcat" possibility let me know. 

Please let me know if you can help and what your time frame is and what equipment you can bring so I can try to schedule things.
