Luna Lake HoeDown 2009

Hello Neighbors, 

We are 2 days away from the Luna Lake HoeDown 2009. 9-5pm THIS SATURDAY 

YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAY THE WHOLE DAY -- ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT 

I'm expecting all of you to show up so the work load won't be that much at all. 

Here is what we are working on and still need. 

Volunteers -- As many folks as can possible come and work. 

Musicians for the after party -- acoustic only since there is no power 

Talents to entertain us -- if you are a fire eater or whatever we'll be tired and ready to be entertained. 

Food -- bring stuff to share at the HoeDown after party 

Utensils -- Knives, Forks, Plates, Napkins -- that type of stuff 

Games -- Ladder Ball, Corn Hole, Badminton, A Kickball, Twister, whatever you think will be fun. 


If you don't feel like you can do the heavy lifting there are plenty of other projects we need help doing. 

A Cook -- Someone to prepare some hearty goodies. We'll use a grill for the heat. I'm thinking a big pan of scrabbled eggs, Bacon, Toast. All you need to do is cook. Sorry vegetarians, you can provide your own. 

A DJ -- If you want to pick the tunes to play and play them that would be grand. 

Miscellaneous Help -- There are always projects to be done, I don't know if we are going to label things or whatever.

If you can't make it but can stop by and donate things here are some ideas - 

Finger Foods -- stuff the workers can munch on during short breaks, Doughnuts in the morning, finger sandwiches in the afternoon that type of food. 

Drinks -- Coffee, water, etc... 

Tools -- Put your name on them and we'll get them back to you. We will Need plenty of Wheelbarrows or other dirt haulers, Soil Rakes and Shovels 

If you have any other ideas those will be great too. 

This is a neighborhood run event that is benefiting the neighborhood so please come and support the cause, during the work or during the after party. 

If can bring food, extra tools, or whatever please let me know so we can make sure we have what we need..
