Mulchfest and Block Party

Hello Neighbors, 

Most of you missed "Mulchfest 2009" at Prospect Park. I really want to encourage people to come out and give an hour or two of their time to these community projects. The work is generally hard but the feeling of knowing you are in a community where people care about the community is worth getting dirty for. We spread 280 cubic yards of Mulch at the Prospect Park playground and have another 120 yards coming in a few weeks. 

If you haven't stopped by Prospect Park you should walk around. The improvements the community has made have been fantastic. Prospect Park is definitely the nicest park in town, get out and use it. 

The Block Party will be Sunday July 19th. WE NEED A COMMITTEE TO WORK ON, SET-UP, and RUN THE BLOCK PARTY. I'm going to be busy preparing for a family event so I won't be participating too much in the block party set up. If you want to get on the committee let me know and I'll put the entire group in touch with each other.
