Hello Neighbors, 

It's time for us to start thinking about a couple of volunteer opportunities. 

The first time to help is April 18th when the EMU GREEN organization is running Capture the Trash. The PPNA owns the 1st place 'trashiest team' trophy which we have to give back unless we win. Capture the Trash is a joint effort to Clear Riverside and Frog Island Parks of trash. Last year the event expanded because trash was picked up so quickly. The event is really fun and I hope as many folks as can make it. 


There is also Ypsi Pride Day on May 16th -- We have a little more time but I'd like suggestions on areas we would like to concentrate on. This can be a painting project, a planting project, or a clean up project.

Ypsi PRIDE Day brings out more than a thousand volunteers throughout Ypsilanti to work on more than 30 public clean up and beautification projects – all on the same day! As you know, this year’s Ypsi PRIDE Day is Saturday, May 16 th. In preparation the steering committee has been working hard to make the event better than ever, and to incorporate more neighborhood input. 



Here’s what we’ve been up to, and how you can get involved!

Thanks to some great volunteer help, we have a new website that allows volunteers to do a lot of the basics online! 



· Sign up to volunteer! 

The quickest way to sign up as a individual or a group is to do it online. Fill out the super-easy form here: http://volunteer.kopmanis.com/index.php 



· Suggest a site for clean up and/or beautification!

· Nominate a volunteer for special recognition!
