Growing Hope Hosts the 3 rd Annual Tour de Fresh! 



Growing Hope is hosting Tour de Fresh, our 3rd annual Ypsi-area garden & sustainable food system tour on Tuesday, September 15th from 5PM - 8:30PM. This is a great opportunity to highlight the work that so many partners in the Growing Hope Community have done, and to inspire others to take part in community & school gardening, urban agriculture, and other ways folks are growing food for themselves & neighbors. Tour de Fresh will: 



· Showcase to people within and outside the community what great things are growing because of so many Ypsilantians, youth & adults alike! The Tour will feature seven gardens, including community gardens and participants of the Four Square Society raised bed install program. 

· Connect existing community & school gardeners, urban farmers, and growing enthusiasts with one another! 

· Generate enthusiasm & ideas as we celebrate the growing season 






Please join us for an optional bike or bus tour starting at 5PM on Tuesday, September 15 from the Downtown Ypsilanti Farmer's Market next to the Key Bank Building. The tour will end at the Growing Hope Center with a potluck at 922 W. Michigan Avenue. Attendants of the bike tour must provide their own bicycle and wear a helmet. Please pre-register to reserve a spot on the tour by emailing ashley at growinghope.net or calling the Growing Hope Office, 734.786.8401. Please RSVP by Friday, September 11, 2009. Tour participants are asked for a donation on a sliding scale of $1-20.
