A lot of things

Hello Neighbors,

My email box was full of things going on in the city over the next couple of weeks so I tried to condense them and put them in some sort of order.

The Corner Brewery has a lot of great things happening this month so make sure you check them out. Keep in mind that the Corner is a friendly smoke free place so don't think of events there as drinking events everyone should come on out to enjoy quality entertainment. The Corner also has added a lot to their menu so it is a great place to get out to when it is cold outside.

I would also like to encourage folks to sign up for the Aubrees Birthday Email list (Free Specialty Pizza the week of your birthday if you sign up online) and the Haabs Monthly email list (I believe you still get a free Haab's pint glass for signing up along with great coupons each month). While I'm promoting local eats don't forget J. Neils Mongolian BBQ which now has bowls of great quality food starting at $6.99. What about Luwak ? Glad you asked, they now have a daily breakfast menu. IF you've had a great local dining experience let me know and I'll pass it on to the neighborhood.

The bottom part of this email is Carole Clair's list of Ypsilanti Events -- It has some things I left out of mine.

Take care,
Kurt Anschuetz

NEIGHBORHOOD SPECIFIC INFO.

Since we are so Hi-Tech here in the PPNA there is no reason for a child to go Door to Door to Fundraise so here is your chance to help out without having to answer the door. This is from our neighbor Julie D.

Hi Everyone!

Well, the school year has officially begun and yes, we have a school fundraiser to promote. I know funds are tight for a lot of folks this year (myself included), but any help would be most appreciated! Now that Colin is in first grade, we have been going door-to-door in the neighborhood. I though since all of us LOVE to surf the web, placing orders online would be easier. Go here:

http://www.frankenmuthfundraising.com

The school will receive credit when you enter school code/ID #3866 (It's entered at the website under "Profile ID", then hit "enter")
Colin will receive credit when you enter his name (Colin DeFilippo) and his teacher's name (Mrs. Wilbanks), you do this at time of checkout.

The online orders need to be completed by October 5th! If you could pass this along to other friends and family it would be appreciated! The school fundraising goal is $15,600 and will go toward playground equipment. Not only is there a $100 cash drawing for his school, the fundraising organization will also be giving away prizes: sell 1 item and be in a drawing for a Nintendo DSi (whatever that is); sell 5 items and be in a drawing for a $250 gift card to a water park of the student's choice; sell 10 items and be in a drawing for $500 cash! Any help you can give to Colin would be appreciated! Thanks for all your help!

NEWS:

Wireless Ypsilanti Is on the edge of our Neighborhood with a couple new installations. You can help by hosting a transmitter, sharing your bandwidth, or donating money -- all three are needed to keep the efforts going.
