Salon Cuts Hair For Haiti Relief 
Thomas Blondi Salon Will Match Donations Up To $500 


Thomas Blondi Salon is hosting a "Hearts for Haiti Cut-A-Thon" this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.Get your hair cut for a $25 donation. All proceeds go to the American Red Cross Hiati Relief Funds.The salon, located at 36 N. Huron St. 






Annual Seed Swap and Exchange : Did you collect an abundance of seeds last season? Want to see what you can exchange them for with other gardeners? Then the Seed Swap is for you! Bring your loot and your bargaining skills and see how many different seeds you can leave with. Saturday, February 13, 2010, from 10-11:30am, at the Leslie Science and Nature Center, 1831 Traver Road, Ann Arbor. 



On Monday, Feb 15 at 7:15pm Talk of the Neighborhood will host Candace Pinaud who will present a useful and informative presentation on "The Family Budget" at the Recreation Park Community Center located at 1015 North Congress St., Ypsilanti. 


The Family Budget Candace Pinaud, a local mortgage lending and real estate professional with 14 years of experience, will share information she has used to help clients get in a position for buying a home. The work she has done with potential home buyers is useful information for all families. These useful tips include organizing finances, grocery shopping information, setting up a consistent savings pattern, setting a personal allowance and tips on keeping your credit rating score high. Candace has a Finance degree from Eastern Michigan University and has spent the last nine years working with clients on credit score improvement and helping them manage their personal spending and saving. Candace asks participants to bring a calculator and the last two months of bank statements. (these will be for your eyes only) If you do your banking on line and you have a lap top, the Center has Internet access. Mon., Feb 15, 7:15pm ( Given the nature of the topic, this one is FREE) 



and on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7:00, join us at Keystone (200 W Michigan Avenue in J. Neils Mongolian Grill) for another fabulous night of music. January's Music in the Neighborhood was wonderful. This is a great opportunity to hear live music in a cozy and friendly setting. 



Music In the Neighborhood Keystone Underground Martini Bar at 200 W Michigan Avenue will be hopping. Come and listen to some of the area’s best musicians in the happening new downtown club located in the J. Neils Mongolian Grill at the corner of Michigan and Washington. Ford Lake Frozen Leap

Description It’s baaaaaack! Yes, the Ford Lake Frozen Leap is back and this year we’re really excited about raising more money for AHA. Last year we raised a little over $4,000 and with your help, we’re shooting for $8,000 this year. When: Saturday, Feb. 13 from 11-3pm. 11-12pm: Registration (Sign in, hand in money raised) 12-2pm: Leap (Jump in with your team) 2-3pm: Meltdown Mingle (Awards, coffee and hot chocolate) Why: February is “Heart” month. All proceeds to benefit American Heart Association Who: Anyone can jump! You simply need to start a team or join a team and raise a minimum of $40. 

Love Stinks Chocolate Fest

Description Free. Registration required: 482-4110 ext. 1326 Teens, make chocolate in interesting shapes for yummy eating. Sample different kinds of chocolate while composing the sappiest valentine you can imagine or writing out snappy candy heart jibes! Everything provided—we just need you.
