generous and determined volunteers, the Luna Lake Native Plants Garden
at Prospect Park is looking better than ever. Yesterday afternoon, we
completed our second and final workday for the year - weeding and
spreading good hardwood around the entire garden. I encourage you to
stroll by to admire the plants that are in bloom or just making a lush,
green display of their healthy leaves.

As you continue to enjoy the Garden, we ask that you help us to keep it looking good by doing the following:

Please pick up and dispose of litter;

Please let others know that foot traffic through the Garden is discouraged for the time being, while our plants get established.

Although we appreciate the thought, please refrain from doing
extemporaneous weeding, raking, planting, watering or mulching outside
of designated work days. Many of our young plants are difficult to see
and may be hard for some to distinguish from weeds. If you have some
plants you wish to donate, please contact me (Rachel) and I will be
happy to help you to plant any approved natives in the appropriate
areas.

We are looking forward to the display of Fall foliage and flowers
and to next year's Second Annual Luna Lake Hoedown. If you are
interested in joining our planning committee, or just getting involved,
feel free to contact either myself, Mackenzi Retti - karenlea831@comcast.net - (East Prospect Park Neighborhood Association) or Kurt Anscheutz - kdasmoot@comcast.net - (Prospect Park Neighborhood Association).
