Lessons Learned. Uncover Your Family’s History - Kate Conat worked for 26 years as a private
investigator and trainer of investigators. About 14 years ago, she began
putting those investigative skills to work in tracing her family history.
Her curiosity led her to learn of her family's migration across the Eastern
United States to Michigan. Along the way, she unraveled
a few mysteries such as when her branch of the family changed the
spelling of the name. She also learned that her ancestor, Roger
Conant, founded Salem, Massachusetts and another ancestor came to the New World aboard the Mayflower. Some of you
may know Kate as Kathleen Conat, whose opinion column, feature stories and
investigative reporting ran in the Ypsilanti Courier for eight
years. Now, she's willing to share her investigative skills with you so
you can uncover the history of your own families. Kate's experience
has made her a valuable resource for anyone looking to uncover their own
story. Let Kate's story inspire you to begin a process that will be
personally fulfilling and an invaluable gift to your entire family.
