I can't believe how few of you take advantage of Ypsilanti.

Last night, I'm sure most of you, missed a great welcome party to our new Chief Amy Walker. You couldn't step 2 feet without running into a politician or a cop. Wait, that doesn't sound like a good time but it really was. There was a party atmosphere and free food.

Here are some events you might want to attend this weekend:

I suggest grabbing food downtown before you do anything. DaLat Vietnamese Restaurant looks horrible but the food is great, try it out sometime. Don't forget about J-Neils, Pub-13, Biggies and Beezies there is a great variety to choose from.

I'd suggest stopping by the Riverside Arts Center and checking out the gallery but since they don't shovel their walk its probably too dangerous.

Friday Night Live Music:

Elbow Room: Collateral Damage w/ Marshall Neely

Tap Room: Jon Latini and Friends - Jon is a fantastic Singer Songwriter and this will be his last gig at the Tap Room for a while. the proposed SEMCOG Ypsilanti commuter train has the potential
to greatly impact our community, our future development, jobs and the
quality of life in Ypsilanti . Nat Edmunds, Bonnie and Ed Penet have
taken lead roles in the preservation and restoration of the Freighthouse.
Engineering and architectural drawings will be revealed and discussed. An
overview of the project, the goals, and the work ahead will bring us up to date
on these plans. The proposed SEMCOG Ypsilanti commuter train stop will
require our community to meet certain requirements. If you want to
